Spring Happenings

Updated: Apr 16, 2023

We're back from a trip to Arizona, mainly Phoenix, where we got to visit friends we met in virtual open mics. Plus some sightseeing (the desert was in bloom)!

This picture is from us playing at the Tempe Center for the Arts. An amazing space to perform in.

And a video of a song we played there, "You're No Good". This is usually associated with the amazing version by Linda Ronstadt (who is from Tucson). The first recording of it was by The Swinging Blue Jeans, a four-piece 1960s British Merseybeat band, in 1964.

We are playing the first of a few dates at Wood's Grille. Thursday, April 20, 2023, 5 - 7:30 pm, 284 1st NH Turnpike Rd., Northwood, NH. (603) 942-9663 As a duo. https://woodsgrille.com/ Formerly Umami's, where there was quite a music scene pre-Covid. Glad to see the space back and open for business.

Zac Francis will be joining us on bass & vocals for several upcoming gigs this summer. He is an 'in demand ' bassist here on the NH seacoast and we excited to have him joining in. Brie Green, who has been playing bass with us, is getting busy with her own band, Briezyjane and the Hurricane. And rightfully so, she is a very talented musician. She'll still be with us when she can.

The rest of our schedule is here: https://www.fretbenders.com/upcoming-shows

Our music is out in the world in many places. For example, those who are already signed up for Spotify can listen to us here: https://open.spotify.com/album/5wC8ZiOTNL1s7Y5ipq2Eg4?si=b8rblTcqQHylTVRBhoUdTg

If you haven't signed up for anything, you can still listen for free (and purchase if you are feeling generous) at Bandcamp: https://fretbenders.bandcamp.com/ There's even a few songs from our old band, Late Night Radio.

And of course, everything is on YouTube. Including us: https://www.youtube.com/@fretbenders/videos Please subscribe.

That's all for now, thanks for your time and hope to see you soon!
